Aquarium of the Americas - open Tuesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm, the Aquarium of the Americas is part of the Audubon Nature Institute. You are immersed in an underwater world the moment you enter. The colors of the Caribbean coral reefs come alive and the penguins and sea otters enchant you. Don't forget to look for sea turtles throughout your journey. Audubon Zoo - explore an exotic mix of animals from all over the world at the Audubon Zoo. The zoo is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10am - 5pm and offers unique natural habitat exhibits like the Louisiana Swamp and the Jaguar Jungle. Don't miss your chance to walk among the elephants, Amur leopards, orangutans, and a white tiger.
Mercedes-Benz Superdome - home to the New Orleans Saints and Tulane's Green Wave football team, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is the largest fixed domed structure in the world. The Superdome hosts many sporting events and exhibitions throughout the year. While you're in town try to check out one of the many football games, basketball games, or concerts being held there.
Jackson Brewery - this brewery is over 110 years old and is one of the city of New Orleans' great landmarks. Today the building is no longer a brewery, but there are plenty of wonderful places to explore. The Shops at Jackson Brewery offer four floors of stores, attractions, restaurants, bars and cafes.
St. Louis Cathedral - the cathedral is instantly recognized by many and is characteristic of New Orleans. It overlooks Jackson Square and is the oldest Catholic cathedral in continual use in the United States. The St. Louis Cathedral has two gift shops for you to visit. Both shops offer a large selection of religious and spiritual items. This beautiful landmark is one of the can't-miss things to do in New Orleans.
Jackson Square - don't forget to visit Jackson Square, a historic park in the French Quarter. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1960 and is now called one of America's Great Public Spaces. Plus, it's one of the most well-known things to do in New Orleans.
